Federal Urdu University Of Arts Science & Technology or FUUAST is the government-owned higher education Institute and considered as one of the most well-reputed and oldest institutes of the country. The institute was established as " Baba-e-Urdu Molvi Abdul Haq college but later in the year 2002 it was given the status of higher education institutions, teaching primarily the Urdu language. The institute has two satellite campuses, one in Islamabad and other in Karachi. The institute primary objective is to encourage the country's youth to study about their National Language and become one of the most leading and Internationally recognized educational institute. The institute provides all basic facilities and hosts teaching faculty which is both talented and experienced. The institute currently has 9 departments, Department of Economics, Computer Science, Management Science, Commerce, Applied Physics, Electrical Engeeniring, Urdu, Islamiat and Law.
