Government College University Faisalabad is the government-owned educational institute offering quality education services to its students. The institute was established in the year 1897 as the high school and given the status of a postgraduate college in the year 1963. The institute was finally declared University in 2002 and since then provided degree programs to many students. The institute has multiple campuses and one such campus is in Layyah. The main aim of the institute is to produce highly skilled and professional individuals who play a positive role in the development of socio-economic sector of Pakistan. The institute Layyah campus offers different educational programs and currently has 6 departments, Commerce, Technology, Science, Law, Education and Information Technology.
