Govt Technical College is a government-led technical institute that provides technical training programs to its students. The technical college is part of government larger project of establishing various technical institutes all over Pakistan. The Institute has one such centre in Chakdara, Lower Dir District. The Institute main aim is to provide quality skilled based training programs to its students so they can utilize these skills to generate income. The Institute offers different training programs under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced teaching staff. The Institute offers different training and diploma programs such as Diploma In Engineering- Electrical technology and DAE in Civil technology. These Programs are of 3 years.
