National Defence University is the publicly funded military institute providing educational services in research, International relations and other disciplines for many years. The institute is situated in the Islamabad and established in the yar 1970. The National Defence University or NDU was initially a staff college but later in the year 2007, it became the recognized University. The institute plays a critical role in developing and formulating the military strategy and help individuals to understand the relationship between different armed forces of the military. The main aim of the institute is to produce individuals who avail a leading role in future and help them to develop and enhance their academic and professional skills. The institute has a very skilled and experianced teaching staff and has two different sections of courses. One is about Institute for strategic Study & Research offering courses such as national Security & War and Information Operation courses and another education section is Contemporary studies which offers courses such as International relations, Leadership & Management Studies, Peace & Conflict Studies, Government & Public Policy and Strategic Studies.
