Swedish Institute Of Technology is the privately run institute which is one of the most leading and renowned institutes of AJK. It is situated in the city Bagh and enlightening people with the light of education since its inception. The Institute is part of Sweedish Group of the technical and vocational group which was first established in the year 1995. The main aim of the institution is to provide quality education and best level of technical education to the students. The Institute has various campuses all over the country and established bagh campus after the destruction of AJK in 2005 earthquake which destroyed many educational institutes too. The Institute emphasize mainly on courses that are useful for technical studies so it offers various technical courses and training programs such as a diploma in electrical technology, diploma in civil technology and diploma in Electronics technology. Today’s world is the world of science of technology. The world has shrunk to a global village. The present by the country can only be faced by equipping the country with men trained in modern methods of technology. For the last 62 years technical education has been avoided not just in Pakistan but in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as well. This could have countered this flow of unemployment in the country. Technical institutes are near to nil in AJK and the earthquake of 2005 destroyed the educational infrastructure in the area. Students have to travel hundreds of kilometers to Rawalpindi to acquire technical education resulting in burdens on the families.
