University of Engineering & Technology or UET is one of the most leading and prestigious Tech institutes of Pakistan. Due to the increase in students enrollment in the 1970s, the University decided to establish its campus in Taxila, and finally established its campus in year 1975. The University received its charter of independent University in the year 1993. Today almost 2000 student enrol in UET Taxila every year. The University aims to become an educational institution that provides a quality education so its students could compete with the students of INternational universities. The Institute ams to make information technology and Engineering common to every corner of the country. The Institute currently has six faculties namely, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering, Telecom & Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Faculty of Basic Science & humanities. The Institute provides hostel, transport, library, labs and other facilities to students as well. The Institute offers various undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.
