The University Of Punjab is the Pakistan most well-reputed and oldest higher eduaction institute. It was the first higher eduaction institute established in the Muslim majority area of the subcontinent. The institute has a history of playing the most significant role in the development of higher eduaction in the country. The institute has its main campus in Lahore and has various sub-campus including one in Gujranwala. The institute was established in the city to fulfil the long-lasting demand of the locals to establish higher eduaction institute in the city.
